This clever video does an excellent job explaining how “the one ring that ruled them all” came to be, all in 5 minutes.

  1. I have a coworker who constantly posts about the mythology on Facebook. I’m going to put this on his wall!

  3. How come this pile of hoary old tosh has made it onto the list of great books? Turgid, worthy and ultimately vacuous, I can only assume it’s bludgeoned its way onto the list through weight of numbers.

Great novels, like great art reveal essential truths about the human condition. What does TLOTR teach us? Don’t go to middle earth on a wet Wednesday in case Gollum is in a mood ?
I went the pictures to watch the first instalment of the films and was undone by the thick-eared dialogue and portentous musings of dwarves, hammy old darlings with prosthetic noses and camp pretty boys with badly fitting wigs.

    It’s rubbish. All of it.

    • Knowing not to go to Middle Earth on a Wednesday is very important information. Glad you relayed it here.

  12. Research them and you might just find some massive traffic with low competition, the stuff of hopes and dreams! School was not a happy time for him and he absolutely hated going. Internet marketing covers lots of different zones.
