The 101 Books Christmas Giveaway Returns!

Its-A-Wonderful-Life

Party!

Christmas is almost here, so I want to give away some books.

So far, I’ve read 65 mostly good books as part of this 101 Books project. In today’s giveaway, two lucky winners will be able to choose one of those 65 books. I’ll ship them to you for free via Amazon.

So how do you win?

To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is answer this question in the comments:

What’s your favorite Christmas movie?

My favorite is It’s A Wonderful Life, hands down. Elf is a distant second.

Only answer once please, and make sure you answer by midnight Sunday night (U.S. Central Time) to be eligible to win the book. From all the comments, I’ll randomly select (using the random number generator on random.org) two winners and announce them in Monday’s post.

The two winners can select any book from the first 65 I’ve read so far on the Time list.

Remember, to enter all you have to do is answer this question in the comments:

What’s your favorite Christmas movie?

Good luck!

I think I’d have to go with ELF as my favorite. I answered my phone on Tuesday “Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?”

  27. Well now I feel like a copycat, because “It’s a Wonderful Life” is my favorite too! Actually it’s my favorite movie of all time. I cry at the end EVERY TIME. And not just sniffle, sniffle, dab dab, but like, CRY. Like mother-at-a-wedding sobbing. I can’t help it.

Tied after that is “Elf” and “White Christmas”. And after that are all the so-bad-they’re-good claymation movies. :D

I’ll chime in with the most unoriginal answer here: I also am in love with It’s a Wonderful Life. I played the part of the curmudgeony Mr. Potter in 11th grade, and it was a blast being grumpy on stage all the time. To this day, I can basically quote every line in the flick. :)

  55. I haven’t watched many Christmas movies and I confess: I have never actually seen It’s a Wonderful Life. I have a still-sealed copy sitting in my living room. Maybe I will watch it this year for the first time.

This isn’t really a Christmas movie but I love the 1949 version of Little Women. Does that count as a Christmas movie? It has some very Christmassy scenes in it and the first scene starts at Christmas. It feels like a holiday movie to me.

  62. Any version of “A Christmas Carol” except the Albert Finney musical from 1970, followed closely by “White Christmas.”

“A Christmas Story” was cute the first time I saw it but not so much that I would ever watch it again. I was in high school when it was released in 1983, but for the life of me I can’t remember ever watching it prior to a couple of years ago. Now it is something of a cult classic but maybe that is because it is constantly on television.
